Battle.net 2.0
Yes blizzcon has finally released what is soon to be the future bnet. I personally think its a step up but, To resolve this spam issue they have had for about 9 years they have decided to remove channels in general. Instead of dealing with the issue they plan to resolve it by removing anything having to do with it in general, stirring up controversy. Blizzards response to the controversy was, they will add channels most definitely in later releases/updates. Rather or not they do it is unsure of now, and as for battle.net 1.0 no one is quite certain of what blizzard plans to do. Now on to the good details!
Gaming Party:
The new battle.net will allow you to make games private without a password then you may INVITE your friends to join the game then you can put it in public again. This saves you the need to keep banning people just to get your party in one public game.
Personal Profile:
You will have a personal profile that you may customize to your best fitting along with a avatar.
Accounts:
Every person will be permitted one account and it will be directly linked to your game. So before hacking think again, If you are marked as cheating by anti hack security software installed on the server it may not only effect your battle.net access but your battle.net access using your game. So basically instead of IP banning there just going to ban your account all together.
Maps:
Maps will now need to be bought at the blizzard online store or earned as far as being able to still design maps im unsure.
Hot New Functions:
One of my personal favorites would be the Voice Chat addition, blizzard has said countless times this will be added, sounds alot like xbox live to me.
